Assembly: Thread "feet" onto stand, level (directions enclosed), add oil (we use olive oil.) Set hive on stand. Maintenance: periodically remove vegetation from around hive and stand feet, check oil level in feet.     I purchased two of the Defy Ant Stands for 10-frame hives. The service and delivery were excellent, including order confirmation and delivery tracking. The stands are well-made and a perfect fit. The important thing is that they stopped ants and other bugs from entering the hives. I highly recommend this stand.
